FAQ

About the calculators

Are these calculators really free?

Yes. Every calculator is free, no signup is required and there is no usage limit.

Where does my data go?

Nowhere. The entire calculation runs inside your browser in JavaScript. The numbers you enter are never sent to a server and are not stored anywhere.

Are the results 100% accurate?

The formulas are standard, but the results are estimates. Real figures are affected by processing fees, surcharge, TDS and your lender's own rules. Always confirm the final number with your bank, chartered accountant or provider.

Which year do the tax slabs belong to?

The financial year is shown at the top of the income tax calculator. After each Budget the slabs are updated in a single data file on the site.
