Add GST to an amount, or extract GST from a GST-inclusive price. Everything runs in your browser — no signup required.
This is an estimate. Fees, charges, surcharge and your provider's own rules can change the actual figure.
GST is calculated in two ways — exclusive (adding GST on top of a base amount) and inclusive (pulling the GST out of a price that already contains it). On an intra-state supply the total GST is split equally into CGST and SGST.
Add: GST = Amount × rate ÷ 100 · Remove: GST = Amount × rate ÷ (100 + rate)
On an intra-state sale, CGST and SGST are each half of the total GST.

On a sale within the same state, the total GST splits into two parts — CGST goes to the central government and SGST to the state government. Both halves are equal.
When a supply moves from one state to another, a single IGST applies instead of CGST plus SGST, and it equals the full rate.
The GST rate depends on the item's HSN/SAC code. Check the correct rate for your product's code on the official GST portal.
